Four or five new players in the world

There are three crwths in build on the bench at the moment. One is spoken for — a player coming down from Scotland — and the others will go out into workshops, so people can come and try the thing before they ever have to buy one. You do not sell many of an instrument this rare. But that is not really how I count it. Three built is four or five new players of the crwth in the world who were not there before — hands learning a voice that had almost gone quiet. That is the tally that matters here. Not the order book, but the number of people who can now make the old sound.
